THE CRT FORUMULA

Thank you parents for supporting your children while they are home learning. I thought it would be helpful to share a list of ways you can successfully practice Culturally Responsive Teaching at home.

Culturally Responsive Teaching Tip # 1

LEARN ABOUT YOUR STUDENTS. Open communication should uncover their learning needs and preference.
-Questionnaires
-Surveys
-Open Discussions
Adjust to their learning style. You can’t TEACH who you don't KNOW!!!

 Culturally Responsive Teaching Tip #2

INTEGRATE RELEVANT WORD PROBLEMS.
-Include student names to make it relatable.
-Include establishments in their community.
-Frame it so our scholars can picture themselves inside the word problem.
This will help develope a (CRT) classroom and engage students to participate in the lesson.

Culturally Responsive Teaching Tip #3

-Am I aware of my students learning style?
-Do my teaching strategies reflect this awareness?
